Wow, can it already be February 2010? January flew by filled with testimonies of God’s faithfulness. He continues to take us to new territory as we witness:
· a record number of Groups
· new Group Coaches coming into service for the first time
· an ever increasing number of non-members joining our groups
· well attended and fruitful Starting Point and Connection Classes
· fun and wisdom filled “Old School – Titus 2” Family FX nights led by three of older adult couples
· in spite of the weather, a great start to our Groups Spring Semester
And that’s just the beginning to the New Year, February has a lot in store:
- On Wednesday’s Family FX – Covenant Marriage
- 7th is Starting Point – 9:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in FAB Room 203 for all who want to know more about Celebration
- 20th is Manly Man’s Feast – 3 p.m. outdoor event featuring exhibits, demonstrations, great wild game feast, hear from our own Mickey Andrews interviewed by Preston Scott, hear from our own Nick Wiley, Exec. Director of the FWC
- 21st is Connections – 9:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in FAB Room 203 for all who want to know how God has gifted and designed them
- 25th is the Girlfriends Bash at Summerbrooke (birth of a new women’s ministry)
And looking down the road there are some great opportunities coming:
- Senior Adult Steering Team has been formed to give direction to the ministry to Senior Adults in our community
- Men’s Retreat is set for April 22-24
- Single Mom’s Mother’s Day Lunch is set for May 8th
- Father’s Day Car Show is June 20th
- Miccosukee Mission Adventure Week and Springfield Mission Adventure Week are June 28th – July 1st
- Miccosukee Mission Sports Camp and Springfield Mission Sports Camp are July 12th-16th
What is amazing is to see how God is using all of this to grow people, families and his church to His glory and honor. Connecting people to God and others drives all that we do. That’s reason to celebrate!
