Missions
Thank You!

We had a great summer with our Mission Projects to Miccosukee and Orange Avenue that went beyond our expectations.  To the many adults and youth who allowed God to work through them to love the children of these communities and a church family and staff that supported us:

THANK YOU!

A couple of community parents sent us these notes:

“Thank you, Celebration Baptist church for two weeks of blessings.  You brought with you love, joy, peace, happiness and most of all the Word of God.  You showered our boys and girls with gifts and talents, and our hearts are filled with joy.  We thank you, and most of all we thank God for sending you.”

“Thank you for your teachings, your Bible lessons, your gifts, and the love that you brought in the Miccosukee community for two weeks.  Your love will live within us.  You took good care of our children.  Your teachers were filled with love and patient and understanding.”

All those who were involved in either the Mission Adventure Week or the Sports Camp at either location, please come to a meeting on August 4 at 7 p.m. in the Fuel Room.  We need to discuss and evaluate our experiences this year and look to 2011.

Yours in Christ,

Doug Bedgood

Food Pantry

Those in need are invited to visit the Celebration Food Pantry in the church office Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. The only requirement for assistance is a picture ID.  People may pick up a bag of food once a month.

Please help restock CBC’s Benevolence Ministry Food Pantry.  There are two ways you can help out.  A bag of food with basic items will feed a family of four for about two or three days.

Give a donation of $15-$20 (or whatever you feel led to give) in an envelope and a Benevolence Team Member will purchase the items on your behalf.

Purchase the following items, load them in a paper grocery bag and deliver them to the church office:

  • 1 box of dry cereal or quick cooking oatmeal (either a container of oatmeal or a box of the individual packets)
  • 1 box of spaghetti noodles
  • 1 spaghetti sauce
  • 2 boxes macaroni & cheese
  • 2 cans meaty soup or stew
  • 2 cans chicken or tuna
  • 1 box saltine crackers
  • 1 jar peanut butter
  • 2 cans vegetables
  • 2 cans fruit
  • Dry Rice in bags or box or Dry Beans
  • Powdered Milk
  • If possible but not necessary, reusable cloth grocery bag like those at Wal-Mart

Thank you very much for your participation in this ministry!
