Behind the Scenes
July Update from John Buck

Giving remained good during July. We ended the month with giving $31,000 under budget and receipts over expenses at almost $13,000. It has been wonderful to allow the ministers and program directors to operate at 80% of their budgeted amounts. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to work in the hearts of our church family and we will end this fiscal year (at the end of August) strong.

We are currently paying down the site work loan prior to continuing any further construction. As noted above, the site work loan is $142,000. There is currently $71,580 in the capital fund campaign and we hope to pay off the loan balance by the end of this year. Please stay faithful in you giving to the campus expansion.

When the Proctor Road property sells or significant financial resources are received, we will begin construction of the new gym. In the short term, the new gym will provide space for all the children and student ministry currently occurring in the Family Activity Building. In the long term it will provide better space for the student ministry while providing an outstanding area for Upward Basketball and Cheerleading leagues and the Afterschool and Kinderschool ministries. When the new gym is complete, we hope to immediately begin construction on the current gym to add a second floor. This will allow the children and student ministries to expand even further, provide excellent space for our nationally accredited preschool and facilitate additional growth in our family ministries.

If you are not currently contributing to the capital fund campaign, please pray for God’s leadership in this area and consider getting involved. Every contribution is needed and will be used to provide desperately needed facilities for all the ministries.

June Update from John Buck

Giving remained good during June. We ended June with giving $28,000 under budget and receipts over expenses at almost $27,000. It has been wonderful to allow the ministers and program directors to operate at 80% of their budgeted amounts. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to work in the hearts of our church family and faithfulness and obedience will continue to increase.

Giving at Celebration Baptist

We invite regular attendees and members to give a portion of what they’ve received from God back to Him to support what He is doing in our church. Giving is Biblical and being generous is a good thing! Your gift to Celebration covers a wide variety of outreaches and ministries. From helping to pay necessary bills for those in needs through our Benevolence Ministry to funding Adventure Week, we endevour as a church to be good stewards of the gifts that the Lord has given us through you.

Those wishing to give regularly to help support the ministries of Celebration may do so in several ways.  One of the easiest is through ACH giving.  By filling out the form found at the bottom of this page and turning it in to Mimi Garrison in the church office, your gifts to Celebration can be automatically deducted from you checking or savings account.  If you prefer to mail your gift to Celebration or place it in the offering plate on Sunday morning, you may find our pre-printed offering envelopes to be useful.  Contact Mimi Garrison (mgarrison at icelebration dot org or 893-1709) to request your envelopes.
