Behind the Scenes
John Buck's February Update

It has been so much fun to see so many regular attenders and new people at Celebration. For me the most encouraging thing is in the area of finance. So far this year we have 160 families increase their giving by 100% or more, 92 have either kept the same or increased significantly and only 94 seem to be late in giving for some reason.

Imagine More Update

We are currently paying down the site work loan prior to continuing any further construction. As noted above, the site work loan is $340,000 which should be paid off in the next few months if giving remains strong. There is currently $144,879 in the capital fund account and once that reaches $200,000 we will make the second to last payment against the site work loan.

When the Proctor Road property sells or significant financial resources are received, we will begin construction of the new gym. In the short term, the new gym will provide space for all the ministry currently occurring in the Family Activity Building for children and students. In the long term it will provide better space for the student ministry while providing an outstanding area for Upward Basketball and Cheerleading leagues and the Afterschool and Kinderschool ministries. When the new gym is complete, we hope to immediately begin construction on the current gym to add a second floor. This will allow the children and student ministries to expand even further, provide excellent space for the preschool and facilitate additional growth in our family ministries.

If you are not currently contributing to the capital fund campaign, please pray for God’s leadership in this area and consider getting involved. Every contribution is needed and will be used to provide desperately needed facilities for all the ministries.

Please find below a current copy of our church policies and procedures manual.  This is a work in progress and will be updated periodically.  We will also be posting other forms that would be of use to our church body.

Looking for your Sunday School teacher's phone number?  Need an address to send a thank you note to your friend?  Then our Membership Directory is where you need to look!  The password is the topic of our current sermon series. You may contact the church office if you do not know what the current series is.

Giving at Celebration Baptist

We invite regular attendees and members to give a portion of what they’ve received from God back to Him to support what He is doing in our church. Giving is Biblical and being generous is a good thing! Your gift to Celebration covers a wide variety of outreaches and ministries. From helping to pay necessary bills for those in needs through our Benevolence Ministry to funding Adventure Week, we endevour as a church to be good stewards of the gifts that the Lord has given us through you.

Those wishing to give regularly to help support the ministries of Celebration may do so in several ways.  One of the easiest is through ACH giving.  By filling out the form found at the bottom of this page and turning it in to Mimi Garrison in the church office, your gifts to Celebration can be automatically deducted from you checking or savings account.  If you prefer to mail your gift to Celebration or place it in the offering plate on Sunday morning, you may find our pre-printed offering envelopes to be useful.  Contact Mimi Garrison (mgarrison at icelebration dot org or 893-1709) to request your envelopes.
